(9) Perlitas de filosofía

I maintain that the root cause of the theoretical atheist world view lies in a particular type of epistemology called immanentism, which has as its founder the French rationalist philosopher René Descartes, and whose spirit has dominated the philosophical scene for almost four hundred years. When the immanentist position is adopted the obfuscation and eventual discarding of metaphysics (the science of being qua being, the queen of the human sciences) becomes inevitable. Once metaphysics is eliminated, access to a rational effect to cause demonstration of God’s existence is impeded and one either falls into the various forms of agnosticism (Humean, Kantian, Neo-Positivist) or takes one step further and subscribes to the atheistic position that God is nothing but a projection of man himself (Feuerbach, Marx, Nietzsche, Sartre), a mere idea that in no way corresponds to a real, extra-mental, extra-subjective, transcendent Supreme Being.

Yo sostengo que la causa fundamental de la cosmovisión atea reside en un tipo particular de epistemología llamado inmanentismo, que tiene como su fundador al filósofo racionalista francés René Descartes, y cuyo espíritu ha dominado la escena filosófica durante casi 400 años. Cuando fue adoptada la posición inmanentista, la ofuscación y el eventual rechazo de la metafísica (la ciencia del ser en cuanto ser, la reina de las ciencias humanas) se hizo inevitable. Una vez que la metafísica se elimina, el acceso a una demostración racional del tipo ‘causa-efecto’ para probar la existencia de Dios se ve impedido y se cae en cualquiera de las diversas formas de agnosticismo (Hume, Kant, neo-positivistas) o se va un paso más allá hasta adherirse a la posición atea según la cual Dios no es más que una proyección del hombre mismo (Feuerbach, Marx, Nietzsche, Sartre), una simple idea que de ninguna manera corresponde a un verdadero, extra-mental, extra-subjetivo, Ser Supremo y Trascendente.

En esta ocasión me limito a traducir el texto, ya que su sentido es extremadamente claro. El escepticismo (llamado 'agnosticismo' en el texto citado) conlleva naturalmente al ateísmo, en cuanto cierra el acceso a realidades meta-físicas.
